Did You Know?
Bloomers are named after Amelia Bloomer, an editor of a temperance magazine called The Lily. She wore the outfit, designed by Elizabeth Smith Miller, and promoted it in her magazine, then dropped it completely in 1859 and switched
to a dress known as crinoline. But, bloomers made a comeback in the 1890’s as a women’s athletic outfit.

TIP
Wear cotton gloves as much as possible when handling your silver. This will prevent the oils and acids from your hands from ending up on the object. Cotton gloves are very inexpensive, and can be purchased at photography supply stores and some drug stores.
